Some medicinally useful Pteridophytes of Uttarakhand

Abstract

Nearly all the known ecological zones are found in the hill state of Uttarakhand, therefore, plants of subtropical to alpine climate are found here. About 350 species of Pteridophytes occur in different climatic regimes of the state. In this communication mention of 22 species of Pteridophytes is made which are often traditionally used in various ailments by the local people and various tribal groups.
