Importance of Botanical evidences in Forensic science

Abstract

Scientific studies or investigations of crime can be termed as Forensic science. Forensic biologists play an important role in examining biological exhibits oriented with crime. For long times the botanical evidences at crime sites were ignored but now court considered them as an important evidence. These plant evidence includes microscopic plants like algae, Diatoms, Fungal spores and pollen grain and macrocopic plant parts such as hooked fruits, seeds, wood, fibers etc. There are so many cases where court considered the evidences of plant parts which decides the judgement of the case and accused was punished.
